Donations Based Sports

At the Cupertino Union School District, we believe that extracurricular activities like After School Sports are vital to a well-rounded education. To maintain this high-quality program and maximize the experience for every child, we rely heavily on voluntary financial contributions from families. While no student will ever be excluded due to an inability to donate, we encourage each family to support their child's participation by contributing at least the baseline amount for each sport they join.

These vital community donations go directly toward funding core operational costs for the program, including athletic equipment, uniform apparel, qualified game officials, coaching staff, and participant awards, along with numerous other necessary items.

If every participating athlete contributes at the Bronze level for each sport they join, it successfully covers the District's average cost per student.

Available Donation Tiers

Bronze Sponsorship Level ($185) — If every participant contributes for each sport they play, this baseline amount matches the district’s actual expenditure per student-athlete. We gently encourage each family to support their student for every chosen sport, as each individual contribution is vital to maintaining our sports programs.

Silver Sponsorship Level ($300) — This intermediate tier is essential for securing the overall success of our athletic offerings by assisting students who may face financial constraints. We are deeply thankful for this added level of giving, as your extra support has a meaningful impact on our community.

Gold Sponsorship Level ($500) — We invite those families who are in a position to offer maximum assistance to consider the Gold Tier. Contributions at this premier level enable our schools to secure all the resources needed for an exceptional after school sports program, ensuring its strength both this term and in the years ahead. We appreciate your remarkable generosity!

Custom Sponsor ($100 - $500) — Flexible funding options are vital for managing the day-to-day operations of the After School Sports Program. These variable contributions help offset costs for equipment, officials, uniforms, and coaches.

Employer Matching Contributions– Supporting the After School Sports Program can be amplified through corporate matching programs. All matching contributions are received directly by CUSD and allocated to fund our After School Sports Program, primarily through the Benevity Platform.

As a friendly reminder, to ensure the ongoing sustainability of our After School Sports Program, contributions cannot be refunded once a student-athlete has joined a team and begun competing in the league.
